How does one find purpose? It’s an idea we explore throughout. Purpose itself is an elastic word, it can connote drive, intention, ambition. It can involve goals and dreams we hatch for ourselves. It can be borne of experience – of things we try, do, survive, or endure. It can be a product of courage or fear. Sometimes the sense of purpose we embrace is immediate: to fix something, to let someone go to leave somewhere. Others are more profound: to transform systems, to move hearts and minds, to correct historical injustices. Purpose can be the difference between a job and a cause, an activity and admission. It can ignite or overwhelm. But it can also lead to those rare, fleeting moments when everything seems to crystallize and we appear to fully understand who we are, why we’re here and what we need to do. The irony is that these moments of apparent clarity can sometimes be the hardest when we are confronted with the most difficult decisions and choices we’ll ever face. But they can also appear as bright, shining beacons that show us the way ahead.

Positively Purging-I welcome your feedbacks in the comments and your likes and passing the real life wisdom on to others as I embark on this new venture of “positively purging“, as I know each of these pieces represents something…

Let me first say, that is a stunning photo of Jackie, she is old American Hollywood glam. You have done well not only beauty, but brains, wit, a culinary queen, and a woman with a beautiful green thumb. I can imagine no one else leading you into your purpose of social work. Reading your tale, as an American we face those problems here as well with residential facilities. Yes, it is a “safe” space for children, but often not one that teaches real world skills such as laundry, shopping, budgeting or socializing. Which are the skills these youth need most. I like to believe if I teach one young adult, they will share the information, and it will become a beautiful domino effect. Thanks for sharing!

If you have the power to eat alone at a restaurant or sit alone in a cinema, then you have the power to do absolutely anything you want in life.
