Random soundbites of a Career Journal : Part 2

When I started college, someone bought me one of those daily calendars. Over the years I have kept buying them, and often save some of the quotes. Here are a few that fluttered out of my journal last time I opened it.

“Say yes like you believe it, say no like you mean it”

“The ordinary is having a full gratitude attack for a friend, family member or colleague and letting them hear your appreciation”

“Sleep may be and probably is our best medicine. Our bodies know how to heal and rebuild themselves when they have the time and resources”

“Whisper in your loved one’s ear, ‘I think you’re terrific’”

“None of us ever know all the possible courses our lives could have and maybe should have taken. It’s probably just as well. Some secrets are meant to stays secrets forever. Just ask Pandora”

“Strength multiplied= power”

“Slow down and think about the road ahead. Mediate on a burning question. Consider your partner’s objections, even if you disagree.”

“Career matters demand your attention. Change requires adaptation. Passions could surge. Save caustic comments for later/communications could get crossed”

“To be taken seriously dress the part”

“Take seriously any marital advice offered by your grandparents”

“Reveal your discovery. Help others see the big picture. Accept assistance, especially to meet the demand for quick action.”
