Break Away: Camping

I make a handful of campsite reservations in the off season (Jan/Feb) for the peak coming times, in string, summer and fall. Having them already on the calendar forces us to set the time aside and means we’re not trying to snag hard to get reservations the week before hand.

Check Bulk Prices

It’s not always cheaper to buy in bulk. Groceries or sometimes bulk packages cost more per ounce than the same amount in smaller boxes, so be sure to compare prices before you buy. You can do this by checking the unit prices for the items you’re ‘buying- which should be posted on a label or sign close to the product in the store- and aim to buy the items with lower cost per unit.
