In Yoga, we bend so that can grow

Speed isn’t the goal. This isn’t the kind of practice to power through, earphones pumping, counting down the minutes until you’re done. The point is to the bend. It’s that moment of uncertainty wrapped in discomfort. A challenge. A chance. To push even just a little bit more than yesterday -into a new openness waiting for you. When you get into your body in this way, balanced by the measure of your breath and grip of your toes, there is no other place to be but here. That’s the goal and the gift in one.
