Thriving with Growth Menopause Mindsets

Now, a “growth mindset” is more like believing your abilities and smarts can change and expand if you put in the effort. Folks with a growth mindset welcome challenges, keep going even when it’s tough, see effort as a way to get better, and learn from feedback and advice. Here are examples of how a growth mindset may apply to menopause.

5 Growth Menopause Mindsets

  1. Embracing Change: Seeing menopause as a natural part of life’s journey and embracing it as an opportunity for personal growth and transformation.
  2. Knowledge is Power: Actively digging into info about menopause, what you can expect, how to handle it, and being open to trying out different things.
  3. Lifestyle Tweaks: Being up for making positive changes, like getting into healthier eating habits, starting a workout routine, or giving meditation a shot to boost both your body and mind during menopause.
  4. Lean on Your Team: Believing in the power of support from friends, family, or fellow menopausal warriors, and not being shy about sharing experiences, advice, and a good laugh or two.
  5. Embracing the Suck: Looking at menopause-related challenges as opportunities to grow and become more resilient, knowing that even when things get tough, you’re gaining wisdom and a deeper understanding of yourself.

A bedroom should have multiple light sources to allow for the proper mood. Softer bedside lighting is appropriate for relaxing at the end of the day, while bright overhead lighting is necessary for getting ready in the morning and seeing outfits from head to toe.

Journaling

“Journaling is a space where I can write it all down. I can get my thoughts out, unload my brain from the day and see what’s actually going on in my soul. It’s a practical way to unburden my mind and allow myself to rest.”

You are Enough

I deeply know that if you existed in your own bubble and sense of reality, you would find such beauty in how you looked, celebrate the goodness of all that has happened in your life, and be in awe of your resilience and how you made it through some tough times that you thought you’d never make it through. and here’s something I also know; life can be hard. It is hard at times. Finding a glimmer of hope and light can take all of your strength. but when you find yourself in a season of life that is difficult, the last thing i want you to do is compare. for one, you are only privy to the information about their life that you see or have been told. and for two, you have your own unique journey and that alone needs to be your focus. So, when your thoughts swirl and negative beliefs about what you don’t have and what someone else has comes up for you, take a breath, center yourself, and decide to focus on you.
