Social Media
You’ve spoken up about the pitfalls of social media, and yet that is how you got your start. How would you describe your relationship with the Internet? I was raised by it. Being able to break into my career this way has been such a surreal and humbling experience. But it also taught me to seek validation based on engagement. That can cause your mental health to decline when your engagement does. Now I create the Internet I want. If I don’t want to wear makeup, I won’t. If I don’t want to give a verse, I’m not going to force myself to. – Chika
