Complexity

Albert Einstein said, “You cannot solve a problem with the same mind that created it.”  We need to step out of our parts so that we aren’t limited by their immature perspectives. When we relate to a triggered part from a place of compassion, we become dis-identified with the part. If I feel compassion toward the part of me that feels hurt, for instance, I become bigger than this young part. Not only am I hurt, I am also the compassion that feels moved by my pain and wants to help. I can disentangle from my hurt part and see the larger picture of what’s happening with more complexity.

Picture Hanging

You’re supposed to find a stud to hang something. Many locations we choose on walls, however, don’t line up with one. In these instances, you’ll need a drywall anchor. (Not the flimsy ones that come with a frame. Get ones that hold weight.) Drill a small hole in the drywall, and install the anchor. Make it a snug fit. Then, screw the screw in. Once tightened, turn it an extra five to 10 times.

“It scrunches the anchor behind the drywall and pulls it tight against the backside,” says Mickey Allison, owner of Mickey “The Maintenance Man.”

Allison also recommends using two anchors for better weight distribution. To align them evenly, he measures from the floor up because floors are more level than ceilings and walls.

For pictures with hanging wire, Ben Milano, owner of Flaming Toaster Construction & Handyman Services, always places a metal washer under the screw. “The wire slides behind something larger than the screwhead, making it more secure,” he says.

Embrace Your Humanity

Embrace your humanity. we don’t need to have it all together—because none of us do. embracing our imperfections, our quirks, and the messiness of life is where true strength lies. Remember, you are enough exactly as you are. there’s nothing more powerful than accepting your whole self, just as you are. Jasmine Marie

Parenting

“Your children will see what you’re all about by what you live rather than what you say” – Wayne W. Dyer said,

The way I treat my children teaches…

The way I handle difficult situations teaches…

The way my partner and handle problems together teach…

The way (and frequency) I express love and affection teaches…

The way I treat myself teaches…

The way I treat and interact with my friends teaches
