Home

The phrase “It feels like home” can mean many things, but more often than not what we’re referring to when we say it is in a physical place. It can be a familiarity or something that reminds us of where we came from or the influences that surround us or color our earliest memories. It can also be something we’ve never experienced before, something we long to feel and have finally found, a safety or sense of belonging. It can be the people who grew up around, the ones who shaped our understanding of the world early on, or the people we find along the way, the ones who see us for who we really are and alter our trajectories in positive ways. Home can be a space or environment that we create for ourselves and people we care about.  Home could be something we wear and live our lives in a favorite coat.  It can be art.  It can be science. It can be a destination or represent a new vista of possibilities. Home can be a vision— a kind of connectedness or hope. But what home feels like — or what feels like home — is a very particular extraordinary singular sensation that is unique to each of us and where (or how or when) we find that feeling is the only thing we can determine on our own.

Faith Over Fear

I was the one who didn’t go to college, but now I am making more, much more than all of my siblings. I know that money isn’t everything, but I am a success story. Even though I still grieve my stillborn daughter every day, I am grateful for the beautiful, smart daughter that I do have. She is the reason that I do everything. It is because of her, my husband, and my career, that I can say that I truly have an abundant life. – Priscilla Robinson, 46, Dallas

I Chose Faith Over Fear and Took Control of My Health I had a health scare, but I’m still here. My doctor found a lump in my breast and even though it wasn’t even stage one cancer, I had a mastectomy since it was very large. No chemo or radiation, just a clean bill of health. Praise God!

Friendship

If you go out looking for friends, you’re going to find they are very scarce.  If you go out to be a friend, you’ll find them everywhere.  – Zig Ziglar

Simple Living High Thinking

Life purpose,we all live for the people we love.  But,if all the people who we are love are not with us, what do we live for? For me,I want to be there for the people I love always.  For myself I want to be the best I can be,and always aiming to better myself daily. I want to be brave and not cave into life when it gets tough.  I want to be stable when life chucks a storm at me.  I want to keep my inner well full so that even when storms come, I don’t shake. I want to be healthy and have enough wealth to manage life.  I want to not care if people need to dislike me.  I want to live well, fit, have spirituality in my life, I want to bloom my flower no matter the weather.  I want to buckle down on my routines so that I don’t loose track when life hits.  I want to be light, spiritual and not materialistic because that doesn’t bring joy.  Simple living high thinking. – Bella

Realignment

Sometimes all it takes is one event to illuminate the pathway towards what we inherently need. It could be the realization that a shift of priorities would better support our well-being, or that an area of life needs realignment.
