How can I add soul to my home if I’m a minimalist?
Adding soul to your home can be achieved whether you like living with a lot or a little. It’s about having items around that you love and that mean something to you, whether this is a collection or just one beautiful find — a single flower, a favorite painting or a lone piece of furniture. It could even just be the color of a wall that makes you feel happy or touches you in a soulful way. Sara Bird
I have been so focused on the schedule and balancing this new life, I forgot why I applied for this position. Therefore, it should go without saying, I’m losing excitement for this opportunity. I pulled out the job description. The words that stood out to me, were interventions, advocacy, talk therapy, and consulting. These are the words that speak to me being a clinical social worker. The first two remind me I enjoy meeting patients where they’re at, helping them discover their journey to recovery and a return to their baseline, and helping them to maintain the greatest level of independence. The word consulting reminds me I enjoy teaching, problem solving, and learning new skills. When I pause and ask myself, “What is it that you want to gain from this position?” I think of Proverbs 3:6 “In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” –
Always save your job description; they are good reminders of why you sought out a new opportunity. They are helpful during reviews and seeking raises, as they showcase your expanded duties, and often provide opportunities of growth.

But until women can move freely and think freely in their homes, on the streets, in the workplace without the fear of violence, there can be no real freedom – Anita Roddick
