Out to Dance

And that’s the thing about hope,
She springs out of nowhere,
At the glimpse of possibility,
On the breeze of a belief,
The faint chatter of faith,
For beneath the murkiness of despair,
She’s laying there,
Just waiting,
Breathing it all out,
All these fears that devoured you,
Slicing your insides with swords of doubt,
Cause’ hope is far mightier
Than a passing pause,
Far more resolute through life’s shady cause,
And when you are sunk
And think there is no chance,
She’ll hum to you a message,
As she ventures out to dance

Kindness

Kindness has the power to ripple outward turning a single act into many, reminding us that compassion and connection are what hold communities together.

Prompt 1: Do one small act of kindness today (it can even be anonymous). Reflect on how it made you feel and write a short note or poem about it.

Prompt 2: Create an artwork, symbol, or phrase that represents kindness to you. Then, pass it on! As an act of kindness share it with someone who might need it.
