Growth

One can choose to go back toward safety or forward toward growth. Growth must be chosen again and again; fear must be overcome again and again.

Mindful Beauty

To me, beauty is when a person is living and embodying their truth, no matter what that is…I meditate twice a day. I don’t close my eyes; I stare at my reflection. I always look at myself in the mirror, spending that time alone, enjoying the solitude. I look into my eyes, work my way down to my feet, and write a visual journal entry with my mind. I’ll talk to myself and repeat what happened throughout the day….It made me realize that I am always becoming the best version of myself. – Sora Choi

Confront and Overcome the Unexpected in Business

1. Step up to the plate. A job loss or divorce may make you want to conceal what’s happening. Don’t. Accept what’s happened, move on and ask yourself, “What should I do?”

2. Be the batter, not the ball. Circumstances may lead to pessimism. Fight negativity, or nightmares could become real. No problem has ever been solved by worrying.

3. Keep your eye on the ball. Pressures FRESH views may lead to a frenzied response as you try to control every element of your life. Surrender. Let go of things beyond your control and focus only on those you can control.

 4. Listen to your coach. These are tough times. It’s easy to feel alone and isolated. Reach out for help from friends, family and/or professionals.

5. Step outside the batter’s box. When you’re in trouble, it’s tempting to use the tools that worked in the past. Instead, take a moment and look at things from a fresh perspective.

 6. Wait for your pitch. Today’s fast pace can trick you into equally speedy actions, reactions and decisions. Patience is more important than ever.

7. Become a home-run hitter. When you realize every crisis is also an opportunity, you’ll be able to knock those curveballs out of the park.

Wordy Inspiration

I like to be able to pull open a book and read a passage and be inspired.

Growing Up To Do

I know you are, but what am I?”

Remember that kid from fifth grade? That little riposte constituted his entire arsenal of comebacks. Slam him with the most devastating put-down the schoolyard had ever seen and he’d always hit you with that same trite retort, a lame bit of rhetorical judo that sought to co-opt your insult and turn it back on you. The sheer feebleness of it rendered it unanswerable.

You do remember that kid, right? Ever wonder what happened to him?
